It was to be a date with destiny in front of 85,000 Denver, to accept the Democratic nomination for President of the US, This is Obama's big moment.

Obama in a matter of a few months has already pulled off two of the probably the most watched political events globally. First one was in Berlin and this time in Denver with BBC, CNN and most of the big networks reporting it live around the world even though it was very late at 3.00am. Most Europeans either stayed up or made sure it is recorded.

With most of the recent economic problems causing the  Credit Crunch originating  from US’s bad handling of the economy, the world has lost faith in current administration’s ability to sort its problems out. Eyes are fixed on US for the next two months for indications for who is going to win and what changes are going to bring about.

It is clear that if Obama is going to win, it would mean big changes and the world can hope that US is finally going to do something about Global Warming and managing their energy better than it has been done in the last 8 years.

One would hope that with US economy to come back on track sooner than later so, the rest of the world could get back to where it was one year ago. Remember prior to August 07, UK economy was doing great, low inflation, healthy property market, low mortgage rates in abundance. And with the Financial Market so interconnected across the continents - who America chooses and how America sorts its problems it is for sure going to affect us over here.

If it is going to be McCane, then the consensus is that we will have a continuation of GWB policies and we in Europe will have to sort out our problems, all by . This is probably mean that one has to isolate further from US economy.

Gore would be involved in a Obama administration in a "very senior capacity, if he's willing" Obama has indicated: " having won the Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar, being vice president again would probably be a step down for him."
Gore won the prize this month for working to raise awareness about global warming and has great ideas on how to combat this in a 10 year plan.
